The Opportunity
Our Western Australia Service Centre facility is looking for a Logistics Coordinator team based in Forrestfield. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
In this diverse and challenging role, you will provide timely and accurate reporting, forecasting and planning support to the WA Logistics team to ensure our products reach our customers reliably and on-time. This is achieved through your contributions to the safe and efficient movement, with delivery of all our products arriving via rail and sea freight and to our customer by road to domestic delivery destinations.
What Will You Do?
Working with a supportive team, provide high levels of service to our customers and operations, you will:
- be a main contact between carriers, dispatch points and planning teams, facilitating relationships that yield continuous improvement
- work with our operations & planning teams to provide vital data used for processes and planning of our products before they are distributed to our customers via road and rail
- generate reports to effectively monitor warehouse performance and identify any opportunities for improvement
- working closely with our internal stakeholders including our transport, sales and warehouse teams to coordinate the most efficient and cost-effective delivery schedules for our customers
More About You
Having good working knowledge of transport, operations or logistics environments, you will bring:
- Bachelor Degree minimum
- At least 1 year full time work experience in the same or relevant role
- a proactive approach in building constructive and effective relationships with internal and external key stake holders
- an aptitude in data analysis and a proactive approach to adopting and utilizing new technologies
- Advanced Computer skills with good understanding with Office suite, with strong focus on Microsoft Excel and D365.
- a strong customer focus and the ability to deal with ambiguity and change
- high attention to detail and the ability to multitask in an (at times) high pressure environment
- a continuous drive in improving procedures and process
- a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing while caring for others
