Primary Health Care Operations Manager

About the RoleThis position involves coordinating clinical follow-up tasks, patient recalls, and proactive care outreach. You will work closely with clinicians, nurses, and leadership teams to ensure smooth clinical workflows, compliance with Medicare billing, and efficient management of logistics such as appointment scheduling, equipment, and consumables.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate clinical follow-up tasks, patient recalls, and proactive care outreach
- Manage clinician rosters, inboxes, and clinic schedules
- Oversee stock control and procurement of clinical supplies
- Ensure compliance with Medicare billing, including MBS items
- Support data collection, reporting, and patient experience feedback
- Act as the primary point of contact for remote teams requiring coordination and support
- Contribute to service improvement projects and resource management
To be successful in this role, you will need strong health service administration skills, excellent organisational and time management skills, high attention to detail, and a collaborative and supportive communication style. You will also need to be culturally aware and committed to person-centred care.
What We're Looking For- Experience in health service administration, ideally in primary care or remote settings
- Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and general practice operations
- Familiarity with practice management systems (e.g. MMEx, Communicare, Best Practice)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive problem solver
- Collaborative and supportive communication style
- Culturally aware and committed to person-centred care
