Event Manager

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Event Manager to oversee hospitality operations at a popular community venue.

You will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of all events across various facilities.

Drive event success through strong client engagement, operational leadership, and revenue growth strategies.

About You

Lead a team of customer-focused professionals with a passion for creating exceptional events.

Inspire your team by example, and enjoy building strong relationships with clients and local patrons.

Quickly build relationships with sporting clubs and be willing to try new things to drive revenue through the venue's hospitality business.

Key Accountabilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events with a focus on seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Proactively source and secure new bookings to grow event revenue.
  • Serve as the main contact for clients, suppliers, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the venue and develop sales strategies.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability of the events unit.
  • Work with kitchen, bar, and operations teams to deliver exceptional service.
  • Oversee booking systems, update procedures, and support front-of-house as needed.
  • Recruit, train, and manage event staff to maintain high service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.
  • Monitor sales, client feedback, and KPIs to continuously improve events.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience in event management within hospitality.
  • Relevant qualifications in hospitality or event management.
  • Strong knowledge of F&B service, event logistics, and venue operations.
  • Experience managing event budgets, pricing, and profitability.
  • Proficiency with hospitality management systems.
  • Proven client engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong leadership and organisational abilities to lead a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a high-volume setting.
  • WA Approved Manager Certification.
  • National Police Check.
