Senior Event Coordinator

Job Summary:
This individual is responsible for executing events in a hotel setting. They manage logistics, control expenses, and provide exceptional service to guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage event setup, operations, and tear-down
- Control expenses and maintain profitability
- Deliver superior service to guests and clients
- Develop relationships with existing clients and generate new business opportunities
- Maintain banquet services to high standards
- Oversee inventory management and stock ordering
- Train and develop department staff
- Roster and manage staffing levels
- Billing and financial management
- Directly coach and train staff members
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Sequence of Service
Additional Responsibilities:
- Work with the Operations Manager to achieve company standards in training, quality operations, and service culture
- Lead Meetings and Events staff and areas of the hotel
- Foster client interactions to maximize sales and profitability
- Communicate progress to staff and recommend succession planning
- Handle customer complaints and take immediate action
- Collaborate with other personnel to optimize available resources
- Maintain compliance with Health and Safety, Fire, and Hygiene regulations
