The Role

You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering all functions and events across various facilities. This includes a cafe, bar, restaurant, function spaces, health club, football oval, bowling greens, and croquet greens.

Your goal is to drive event success through strong client engagement, operational leadership, and revenue growth strategies.

About You

You are a customer-focused leader with a passion for creating exceptional events and driving results.

Key skills include experience in functions and events management, relevant qualifications, knowledge of food and beverage service, event logistics, and venue operations.

Key Accountabilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute functions and events with seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Proactively source and secure new bookings to grow event revenue.
  • Serve as the main contact for clients, suppliers, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the venue and develop sales strategies.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability of the events unit.

Additional responsibilities include working with kitchen, bar, and operations teams to deliver exceptional service, recruiting, training, and managing event staff, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.

Monitor sales, client feedback, and KPIs to continuously improve events and maintain high service standards.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience in functions and events management within hospitality.
  • Relevant qualifications in hospitality or event management.
  • Strong knowledge of F&B service, event logistics, and venue operations.
  • Experience managing event budgets, pricing, and profitability.
  • Proficiency with hospitality management systems.
  • Proven client engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong leadership and organisational abilities to lead a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a high-volume setting.
  • WA Approved Manager Certification.
