Pre-contract commercial support is crucial across all business units, working closely with project teams to plan, manage, and execute contract negotiations. Ongoing support through the life of contracts is also essential to drive competitive outcomes and mitigate risks.
Collaboration with key advisors and specialist consultants, including internal and external legal counsel, is vital for success. You may also need to travel within Australia and internationally to engage with stakeholders and coordinate project activities.
To excel in this role, you should possess exceptional communication skills, ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and adept problem-solving abilities. Financial acumen and commercial expertise are also critical in effectively managing business risks and developing successful contract strategies.
- A proven track record of negotiating high-value, complex infrastructure contracts is essential, along with a strong understanding of various contract structures, risk allocation, and strategic procurement decisions.
