Job Opportunity: Actuary Leader

We are seeking a seasoned actuary professional to assume a pivotal role in shaping our business strategy and driving meaningful change.

This is an exciting new opportunity to leverage expertise and contribute to the success of our portfolio, driving growth and profitability through high-quality analysis and strategic collaboration.

  • Provide authoritative portfolio analysis to stakeholders, supporting business outcomes and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement strategies that enhance portfolio performance and drive business results.
  • Develop technical pricing solutions, including cost models, conversion and renewal models, and model monitoring infrastructure.
  • Lead the development of internal and external data assets for pricing and market insights and solutions.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools for scenario testing, impact analysis, and rate updates.
  • Assist senior actuaries in producing the annual business plan.
  • Present technical results to various stakeholders, including senior management and front-line business leaders.
  • Collaborate with teams to refine processes, solve challenges, and drive continuous improvement in a data-driven environment.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years relevant actuarial work experience in the insurance industry.
  • Fellow or Associate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong data analytics capabilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage competing projects, meet deadlines, and lead staff effectively.
  • Experience with SQL, EMBLEM, and RADAR would be advantageous.
