**APS6 Actuary / Reporting Analytics Manager (3 roles)**

The APS6 Actuary / Reporting Analytics Manager role is an important leadership role and will be responsible for leading analysis for project-based work and regular reporting, reporting directly to directors within the team.
The role also has a responsibility to manage the work and workflow of junior analysts to deliver results.
**Responsibilities**
- Assuming the lead analyst role on project based work and regular reporting, leading project meetings, setting schedules for deliverable tasks and reviewing work of junior analysts.
- Developing productive working relationships with junior staff members through the provision of clear direction, appropriate timeframes and regular feedback.
- Providing detailed technical, professional and/or policy advice in relation to complex problems to internal or external stakeholders, via developing and delivering effective presentations and reports.
- Assisting in designing actuarial, statistical and mathematical models to undertake analytical work that responds to business issues.
- Extracting, cleansing and preparing of data from internal and external sources, in particular the data warehouse, and advising on appropriate data checks for reasonableness.
**Essential criteria**
- Relevant academic qualifications, including tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other relevant equivalent qualifications.
- Demonstrated ability in tools such as Excel/VBA.
- Detail-oriented, highly analytical, and previous experience with working with large datasets.
**Desirable criteria**
- Qualified Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Actuaries (or equivalent international qualification).
- An understanding of the contemporary issues facing people living with disability in Australia.
- Have demonstrated ability in programming languages such as SAS/Python/R/SQL.
- Previous work experience in a relevant disability or health-related scheme or with the Australian government.
**Eligibility**

- Up to $888.00 per day inc Super or ex GST (7.5 hour day)
