
Strategic Actuarial Leadership Role

The Senior Actuarial Leader is responsible for establishing and developing internal actuarial capabilities. This includes providing strategic advice at the executive level, building actuarial capabilities and excellence across the organisation, and leading the design and implementation of the actuarial services model.
- Lead the design and implementation of the actuarial services model to drive business growth and success.
- Advise executive leadership on capability, resources, and strategic direction to inform key business decisions.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer from external actuarial providers to the internal team to enhance skill sets and expertise.
- Develop and implement models to support decision-making and drive data-driven insights.
- Mentor, coach, and uplift actuarial capability across the organisation to promote professional growth and development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA).
- Extensive experience in personal injury insurance, with a strong understanding of industry trends and change.
- Proven success in establishing actuarial functions and uplifting team capability, with a track record of delivering results.
- Strong leadership and ability to influence at the executive and board level, with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Adaptable and resilient, with a strong grasp of industry trends and change.
