**About the Role**

In this role you will play an active role is growing our Life insurance business, managing the team responsible for maintenance and governance relating to actuarial platforms covering data, actuarial models and systems used by the actuarial team.

**Important to your success**

Strong knowledge and experience in data, systems and platforms, ideally in a Life Insurance environment, with a proven track record of at least five years working with life insurance modelling and systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of the needs of the actuarial team relating to data extracts used from various corporate systems (in particular Prophet)
- Knowledge of statistical and actuarial tools and techniques used by the actuarial team.
- Robust understanding of controls and processes relating to the system, processes and models used by an actuarial team as well as interactions across a broader finance function, with an ability to review, monitor and improve these controls as required.
- Comprehensive understanding of business improvement tools and techniques, governance and ability to understand, monitor, update or enhance existing work processes.
- Be an Associate or Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent industry body
- Strong Analytical thinking, problem solving, with good leadership experience
