We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate/Associate to join our Sydney C&I Practice Group, one of Australia's largest construction practices. This is a unique opportunity to work on top-tier matters, collaborate with prominent clients, and assist in leading and developing our exceptional group of Junior Lawyers.

About the Role

This role involves providing advice on construction and project disputes, managing litigation, arbitration, and adjudications from start to finish, and working on claims and disputes arising out of commercial, residential, and retail tower developments, industrial, and large-scale residential developments. Major infrastructure projects, including construction of rail infrastructure, airport developments, schools, road, and other civil construction, are also within scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on construction and project disputes.
  • Manage litigation, arbitration, and adjudications from start to finish.
  • Work on claims and disputes arising out of commercial, residential, and retail tower developments, industrial, and large-scale residential developments.
  • Major infrastructure projects, including construction of rail infrastructure, airport developments, schools, road, and other civil construction.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years post-admission experience.
  • Excellent written skills.
  • An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Strong leadership skills to assist in developing our junior cohort.
