Workshop Supervisor Job Opportunity

Join a dynamic team as a Workshop Supervisor to lead and manage all workshop operations. This role requires hands-on leadership skills, mechanical aptitude, and excellent communication abilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of skilled technicians in maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles, forklifts, compactors, and plant equipment.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Prioritize urgent breakdowns and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Manage procurement and inventory, including ordering parts, tracking stock, and overseeing administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet logs, maintenance history, and compliance documentation.
  • Serve as the key liaison between suppliers, contractors, logistics, and operations teams.
  • Enforce safety protocols, inductions, procedures, and contractor oversight to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in diesel mechanics with an HR driver's license (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated experience with heavy vehicles and plant machinery.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
