About the Role

Toyota Material Handling Australia is seeking a Field Service Forklift Technician to support our Queanbeyan Branch. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance services on our fleet of material handling equipment operating from various customer sites.

You will have the ability to work within a designated area of greater Queanbeyan, including Canberra and surrounds, within a 45-minute radius of your residential address.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance of customer units in a timely manner.
  • Maintain professional level of customer service with all TMHA clients and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of job sheets, timesheets, and administrative components.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Current Driver's licence - essential.
  • Relevant trade qualification (Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician, Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Diesel Mechanic) - essential.
  • Forklift Licence & LPG Certificate advantageous but not essential.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven strong mechanical aptitude; diagnostic and repair skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in an associated industry desirable.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
  • Sound problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to generate, build, and maintain client relationships.
  • Willingness to participate in training programs to increase product knowledge and understanding of procedures, safe work practices, statutory responsibilities, and licensing requirements.
