Job Description

As a Safety and Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on road safety for heavy vehicles in the community. This role requires an experienced professional to join our team and ensure adherence to relevant road transport laws, regulations, and processes.

This is a key position that involves conducting compliance and enforcement activities, including heavy vehicle inspections and checks on drivers, operators, and vehicles. You will work collaboratively with a team to provide high standards of customer service and ensure the safe operation of heavy vehicles.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Automotive mechanical trade qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Motor vehicle open driver license.
  • Flexibility to work varying shift times, weekends, and long periods away from home.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to road safety and ethics.
  • Established computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on road safety for heavy vehicles.
  • Conduct compliance and enforcement activities, including heavy vehicle inspections and checks on drivers, operators, and vehicles.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to ensure adherence to relevant road transport laws, regulations, and processes.
