Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to oversee our operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising all workshop activities, including the maintenance of heavy vehicles, forklifts, compactors, and plant machinery.

They must possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage both internal teams and subcontractors effectively.

  • Providing guidance and effective mentoring to a team
  • Diagnosing and repairing modern diesel trucks, forklifts, compactors, and plant equipment quickly and efficiently
  • Prioritizing urgent breakdowns to minimize downtime in a fast-paced environment

To achieve this, you will need to bring:

  • A qualified background in diesel mechanics
  • Demonstrated experience working with heavy vehicles and plant machinery
  • Strong procurement and inventory management skills
  • Competency with maintenance management systems and basic IT tools

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of fleet logs, maintenance history, and compliance documentation. You will also act as a liaison between suppliers, contractors, logistics, and operations teams.

Requirements:

  • A qualified diesel mechanic qualification
  • HR driver's license (mandatory)
