About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Driver with experience in operating cranes to join our team. As a key member of our delivery operation, you will be responsible for safely transporting reinforcing steel to construction sites throughout your area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and drive our brand-new trucks, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations
  • Utilise crane equipment for loading and unloading at sites, ensuring secure and efficient handling of materials
  • Assist in fulfilling duties of an Operator/Storeperson during extended waiting periods, contributing to the overall efficiency of on-site operations
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inspections and any incidents, provide these in a timely manner to Transport Supervisor
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers
  • Adhere to all WHS and Heavy Vehicle Transport regulations, policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in driving heavy combination vehicles and operating cranes
  • Valid Australian HC Truck Licence
  • White card, Asbestos and Silica Safety Certifications
  • CV Crane Licence (or proof of enrolment)
  • Willingness to work regular Overtime and have flexibility in working hours based on deliveries and customer demand
  • Adaptability to provide assistance at the branch
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A professional and safety-oriented mindset
