About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Construction Administrator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing trades during the restoration process for buildings damaged by insurable events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage and coordinate with trades to ensure timely completion of restoration projects
  • Communicate and negotiate with trades to track progress and resolve any issues
  • Liaise with insured parties and insurance companies to ensure smooth communication and resolution of claims
  • Procure sub-contractors and suppliers to meet project requirements
  • Resolve disputes and issues as required, ensuring all work conforms to legislative and contractual OH&S requirements
  • Ensure all inspections, certificates, and relevant documentation is signed off
  • Work closely with Estimators, Supervisors, and team members to ensure project success
  • Provide cost reporting and assist in organizing contracts, processing quotes, and updating variations
  • Ensure purchase orders and sub-contracts are sent out accurately and in a timely fashion
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Diploma in Building & Construction is highly regarded
  • Experience in a similar role within the Construction or Insurance industry is advantageous, but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a professional phone manner
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and work in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Highly computer literate, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Can-do, positive attitude and willingness to learn and start from the ground up in a fast-moving organization and team
  • Must hold a current Australian driver's license
