Event Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Events Manager to join our team at The Star Entertainment Group. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the execution of events and conferences at our venue, ensuring seamless delivery and exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the events team to ensure operational requirements are met and align with organisational objectives.
- Optimise the execution of events and conferences to drive maximum revenue into the business.
- Supervise the overall processes for event bookings from handover to operation execution, liaising with clients and promoting positive client relations.
- Provide leadership and direction regarding operational aspects for the event implementation team, ensuring customer service, budgetary and operational requirements are met.
- Maximise earnings potential of external cash or contra events through up selling or cross selling the venue or property.
- Manage the hospitality event team and work with external providers, venue managers and The Star executives to ensure effective end-to-end execution of all events.
- Manage and lead internal and external high-profile VIP events from end-to-end.
- Manage events ranging in size from 12 pax to over 3000 pax.
- Extensive experience in event management (minimum 10 years) with casino or large hospitality experience preferred.
- Experience dealing with high-net-worth individuals (min $100k spend) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in planning and resourcing people and products, performance management and controlling labour costs and operating expenses.
- Delphi experience is essential.
- CAD & Opera experience is beneficial.
- Valid RSA and understanding of the NSW Liquor Licensing laws and regulations, is essential.
You are a seasoned leader who demonstrates a unique blend of skills and traits enabling you to excel in the fast-paced and dynamic world of event planning. You will have the ability to leverage your exceptional organisational skills in a multi-purpose venue suitable for a wide variety of events and known to host events such as the LOGIES, ARIAS, AACTA, NRL, various award gala dinners, conferences, concerts and more.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also vital to you, enabling seamless collaboration with vendors, clients, and team members.
Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of developing engaging event concepts and memorable experiences for guests at The Star.
