About the Role

Bupa Ballina is a care home located in the scenic seaside town of Ballina on the North Coast of NSW. We are seeking a Hospitality Service Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective support to the hospitality function within the care home, including catering, cleaning, and laundry. They will work closely with our residents to provide a high level of service and ensure their comfort and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards
  • Complete required documentation and reporting
  • Respond to residents' queries and requests
  • Laundry duties include loading washers & dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap, or iron linen
  • Catering / food services duties include assisting with basic food prep, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas, and dishwashing
  • Cleaning duties include general cleaning; mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in the residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal, and living areas

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential
  • Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
  • Understanding of work health, safety, and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised
