About Bupa Ballina

Bupa Ballina is a scenic care home set in the seaside town of Ballina on NSW's North Coast. This tropical landscape provides an awesome backdrop for our residents, with 123 beds and various care units.

Our primary goal focuses on the health, lifestyle, and well-being of our residents.

Role Overview

To provide effective support to our hospitality function within the care home, including catering, cleaning, and laundry duties.

This role involves using your food services and cleaning skills to make a difference in the lives of our residents by providing a personal and empathetic approach.

About You

We prefer candidates with previous catering/food service or cleaning experience, but it's not essential.

You will be a team player who enjoys interacting with people and giving back to our most vulnerable residents.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards
  • Complete required documentation and reporting
  • Respond to residents' queries and requests
  • Laundry duties include loading washers & dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap, or iron linen
  • Catering/food services duties include assisting with basic food prep, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas, and dishwashing
  • Cleaning duties include general cleaning; mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in the residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal, and living areas

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential
  • Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
  • You will have an understanding of work health, safety, and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised.

Estimated Salary Range:$65,000 - $85,000 per annum
