About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Customer Service Associate to join our team at Bupa Ballina, a beautiful care home located in the scenic seaside town of Ballina on the North Coast of NSW.

As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional support to our residents, ensuring their health, lifestyle, and well-being are prioritized.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with people and making a difference in the lives of others. You will be responsible for maintaining legislated workplace health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards, completing required documentation and reporting, and responding to residents' queries and requests.

You will also be involved in laundry duties, including loading washers & dryers, sorting linen, hanging, folding, wrapping or ironing linen, as well as catering/food services duties such as assisting with basic food prep, providing meals and snacks, clearing dining areas, and dishwashing.

Cleaning duties will include general cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal, and living areas.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential
  • Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
  • An understanding of work health, safety, and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised
