The Aboriginal Advanced Case Manager will play a key role in managing case loads of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal persons to deliver dynamic evidence-based best practice in the case management of individuals with complex needs and those who have committed serious offences.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement culturally sensitive support plans for Aboriginal persons.
- Identify and evaluate factors that relate to individual offending behaviour and provide individualised risk assessments.
- Provide strategic advice to senior management and community-based teams on effective case management of Aboriginal persons.
- Foster relationships with Aboriginal organisations and other organisations that support and strengthen case management outcomes for Aboriginal persons.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with members of the Victorian Aboriginal Community.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal Community and the issues impacting it.
- Experience and knowledge of best practice case management frameworks.
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical solutions to reduce risk and maximise individual outcomes.
This is an Aboriginal Prioritised position, offering priority consideration to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples under the special measures provision of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.
