About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Mainfreight in Townsville.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage creditors and payables effectively, ensuring timely payments and reconciliations with suppliers.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies and negotiate favorable payment terms.
- Daily estimate supplier costs to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
- Prepare cheque requisitions and meet payment deadlines to maintain a smooth cash flow.
- Accurately rate and post transactions, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Prioritize customer service duties, responding promptly to queries and resolving issues efficiently.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
- Strong attention to detail to maintain accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
- Highly organized, with a focus on achieving targets and improving processes.
Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
