About the Role

The Education team at SAS is seeking a Business Development Executive (EdTech) to drive the sales of learning and development products and services to prospective and current accounts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with customers, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell training products and solutions to current and prospective customers, working closely with other education personnel to position and leverage sales opportunities.
  • Work with customers to determine their training needs and advise on appropriate solutions, collaborating with Software Sales Account Executives, Customer Success managers, and/or Consulting teams as needed.
  • Implement all aspects of territory and account management and development, identifying opportunities with high "close" potential and qualifying and forecasting timeframes to close business.
  • Proactively craft and propose solutions that clarify how SAS training offerings can bring business value and address each customer's critical business challenges.
  • Achieve success by using your consultative skills to effectively manage the sales process from discovery to close.
  • Work closely with training colleagues to facilitate timely response to qualified, high revenue and high customer satisfaction potential leads.
  • Collaborate with other SAS lines of business to lead the SAS adoption and skills development journey from our customer.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals as needed, working with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for services.
  • Develop an understanding of the market and competition, SAS training offerings, and how people develop skills and methods of skill development.
  • Follow up with customers to track satisfaction levels and to uncover additional opportunities.
  • Leverage networking skills at SAS events and elsewhere to expand your customer contacts and support the overall mission of helping customers be successful.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 0 – 5 years of experience preferred. Fresh graduates with a technology background are welcome to apply.
  • Prior industry or internship experience in sales within the technology industry is an advantage.
  • Entry-level knowledge of sales techniques, change management, capability development
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work and learn independently.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment.
