About This Role

This versatile role involves a range of responsibilities including:

  • Cleaning bathrooms – sanitising, mopping floors, cleaning fans, and replenishing soap and paper towels
  • Cleaning flats – including deep cleaning of bathrooms
  • Mopping halls and stairwells
  • Emptying rubbish bins and transferring waste to the main collection point
  • Reporting any college equipment or bikes found in rooms (bikes must be stored in the bike shed)
  • Setting up and servicing rooms for conferences and events
  • Moving furniture for student rooms, luncheons, and functions
  • Assisting with venue setups – e.g., arranging chairs in lecture rooms
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in cleaning or hospitality (highly desirable)
  • A strong understanding of basic hygiene requirements and safe working procedures
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive work ethic
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capability of lifting heavy items (e.g. furniture) and experience in general home maintenance and repairs
  • Valid Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
