The Role

The Senior Metallurgist is a key technical position responsible for all metallurgical activities at our Peak operation.

You will work closely with teams across mining, maintenance, engineering, laboratory, and commercial functions to enhance performance across our complex polymetallic processing circuit.

This rare opportunity allows you to contribute to plant optimisation and continuous improvement, while informally mentoring early-career team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimise metal recovery through plant performance improvements
  • Drive process control initiatives to underpin steady state operations
  • Prepare accurate daily and monthly metallurgical reporting
  • Lead and support plant surveys and trials
  • Undertake metallurgical testwork for current and upcoming ore types
  • Conduct diagnostic investigations to identify and address performance issues
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field
  • Strong experience in mineral processing, ideally in gold and/or base metals
  • Sound knowledge across SAG and ball milling, gravity, flotation, thickening, filtration, CIP, elution and tailings disposal
  • Commissioning and process control improvement background highly regarded
  • Track record of planning and delivering process improvement projects
