Job Role Overview
As a Supervisor, you will oversee insurance building projects from commencement to completion.
You will be responsible for communicating with homeowners and clients, engaging and coordinating trades, and managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of projects by managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Communicate with clients regarding project progress, expectations, and any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Manage and coordinate trades by assigning tasks, monitoring work quality, and ensuring timely completion.
- Coordinate access to properties for trades and clients by arranging schedules and logistics.
- Resolve disputes and conflicts between clients, trades, and other stakeholders in a fair and professional manner.
- Ensure all work conforms to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and regulations.
- Travel extensively around Newcastle and surrounding areas to visit project sites, meet with clients, and manage trade activities.
Requirements:
- Hold a Building Trade or Construction Qualification to demonstrate expertise and knowledge in the field.
- Possess an Insurance Building background as a significant advantage in performing job duties.
- Have strong computer literacy skills to effectively utilize software applications and systems.
- Develop excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients, trades, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines by prioritizing tasks, delegating responsibilities, and adjusting workflows as needed.
- Demonstrate a sound work ethic by being proactive, flexible, and committed to delivering results.
- Exhibit drive and energy to tackle challenges, overcome obstacles, and maintain momentum throughout the project lifecycle.
- Understand OHS practices and current market rates/trades to ensure compliance and make informed decisions.
- Hold a valid motor vehicle license to facilitate travel and on-site visits.
