**About the role**
- UGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance business have an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join the locomotive new build team based at our facility in Broadmeadow, Newcastle on a permanent full-time basis. This role will provide coordination support to new and existing projects with in the new build line of business.- Reporting to the Project Manager, the role of Project Coordinator within the Locomotive Build Projects is to work within the project team and support the Project Manager to deliver project outcomes.- The role will consult and coordinate information flows between all internal functions as applicable through all phases of the project lifecycle and manage the day-to-day project transactions and administer controls and information aligned to the customer supply agreements and the "UGL way" processes and policies.- This position will be required to demonstrate initiative and intermediate understanding of the project interdependencies to operate effectively.-
**About you**
- 2-5 years' experience in a Project Coordinator, Planning, or Administration related role, ideally within an Engineering, Project Management, or Manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience of rail manufacture or maintenance operations is desirable.
- Strong communication and administrative skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people working within different of disciplines.
- Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
- Desirable (but not mandatory) computing skills: MS Project, P6, SAP.
- Experienced gained in the rail, automotive, military, Defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment.
