Project Coordinator Role

The role of Project Coordinator is pivotal in overseeing the entire construction project lifecycle, ensuring timely execution and compliance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team to restore damaged buildings after disasters, managing trades teams effectively
  • Implementing tracking mechanisms to monitor job progress, enhancing efficiency and productivity
  • Facilitating communication between clients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders for prompt closures

The ideal candidate will possess experience in supervising construction projects, hold carpentry/building trade qualifications, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Additionally, they should be able to manage competing priorities and deadlines while being empathetic to client needs.

This challenging yet rewarding role requires high work ethics, computer literacy, and a deep understanding of WHS practices and current market rates.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven track record in supervising construction projects
  • Carpentry/Building Trade qualified
  • Cert IV or Bachelor of Building & Construction advantageous
  • Insurance building experience highly valued
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
