
Maintenance Operations Coordinator

Work as a Maintenance Manager in a dynamic production team.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the hands-on management of the maintenance team and servicing and modification of plant and equipment to ensure safe and operational standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Safety:
- Be an ambassador for safety, leading safety initiatives and driving a safe working environment.
- Comply with relevant state OHS/WHS legislation.
- Participate in audits and inspections to maintain compliance with Safety, GMP and HACCP.
- Provide information, instruction, training and supervision to employees and contractors, and ensure use of appropriate PPE.
- Control the risk of high-risk activities and work.
- People:
- Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to the maintenance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning and demonstrate the company values.
- Provide HR line management.
- Maintenance:
- Plant and equipment maintenance to be undertaken in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and statutory requirements (as applicable) to enable efficient and safe operation.
- Liaise with Production Manager and workers, maintenance workers and engineering employees to ensure issues with plant operation are resolved as rapidly as possible.
- Advance existing preventative maintenance program in Guardian (CMMS) to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, inspections and repairs.
- Ensure spare parts inventory is managed effectively through the completion of requisition of supplies and spare parts, and stocktaking activities.
- Under the direction of the Capital Project Manager and site management, work on capital projects and the upgrade of plant as required.
- Lead and support Continuous Improvement activities to reduce complexity and improve reliability.
- Champion root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
- Identify opportunities to implement or upgrade automation systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist Commercial and Quality functions with resolution of customer complaints.
- Actively support site initiatives in line with company programs, community links, responsible recycling/ waste programs and environmental requirements.
The ideal candidate should possess a degree or trade qualification in electrical, engineering or mechanical fields. The individual must have substantial experience working with and supervising a maintenance team in an industrial environment. Strong people management and leadership skills are essential, with a commitment to continuous improvement of skill development and work performance.
