Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Manager to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative and dynamic environment, where you will have the chance to develop and implement risk management strategies that make a lasting impact.

You will report directly to the Head Of and collaborate closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Our Sydney CBD office offers hybrid working arrangements, providing you with the flexibility to balance your work and personal life.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver the risk program by scoping and planning risk assessments, as well as facilitating workshops and training sessions.
  • Support business units in owning their key risks and controls, and assist them in utilizing the enterprise risk management framework.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for business units, projects, and assets, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Develop, analyze, and monitor risk metrics, preparing informative reports for the Leadership Team and the Board.
  • Participate in business continuity, crisis management, and controls assurance activities, leveraging your expertise to drive positive outcomes.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in implementing operational risk management frameworks across Funds Management, Property, Utilities, or Financial Services.
  • Demonstrated understanding of designing, implementing, and monitoring risk management frameworks, strategies, and systems.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong engagement and influencing skills.
  • Data analysis skills using Excel and Power BI, along with experience utilizing Protecht.
