Job Title: Strategic Risk Management Professional

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Risk Management Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing credit risk with financial institutions, collaborating with commodities and global markets, fixed income & currencies division. The role will be based in Sydney, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, approve, monitor, and report credit risks with banks, funds, brokers, insurance, and clearinghouse counterparties.
  • Cover various trading and fund lending businesses geographically focused on Australia, Asia, and the US.
  • Rating counterparties and proposing credit appetite to senior approvers.
  • Ongoing monitoring of counterparties and exposures against credit limits.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in finance, preferably in risk management or a related field.
  • Experience working in the risk department of a global financial institution.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, leveraging strong analytical skills and a critical mindset.
  • Comfortable assessing banks and other trading counterparties, derivatives, and complex structures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver key messages succinctly and effectively.
