Senior Risk Leadership Role

As a seasoned risk leader, you will drive the effective execution of strategic plans in risk and compliance management, business partnering, and advisory support; fraud prevention, conduct, and integrity; and privacy management.

About This Position

The Senior Risk Leader is responsible for leading a high-performing risk function with a clear vision, strategy, and plan to build overall risk capability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and leading a team that fosters a risk-conscious culture across the organization.
  • Orchestrating the risk and governance strategy and driving delivery of the strategic roadmap.
  • Maintaining effective implementation of enterprise-wide risk management frameworks, policies, and risk appetite statement processes and systems.
  • Ensuring compliance obligations are identified, understood, and appropriate controls are established, evaluated, maintained, and monitored.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant business discipline and extensive practical experience.
  • 10+ years' experience in risk management and compliance at a CRO or GM level in Financial Services or a large government agency.
  • A well-developed understanding of business risk and mitigation strategies.
  • Extensive experience in building strong relationships and influencing at all levels.
