Senior Business Development Director

A leading provider of applied artificial intelligence and advanced analytics is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Development Director to drive growth through new client acquisition and expanded operations with existing clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy to grow the business through new client acquisition and expanded operations with existing clients.
  • Communicate value delivered and further opportunities to clients at an executive level, maximizing satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage key client relationships with marketing/trading/finance counterparts.
  • Directly manage functional managers and personnel.
  • Pursue targeted goals and objectives.
  • Ensure delivery and quality of services to customers.
  • Engage in customer activities such as events, offsites, and workshops.
  • Assist in hiring and talent development.
  • Evaluate and decide upon investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent.
  • Communicate strategy and drive results from the wider team.
  • Report key results to corporate officers.
  • Engage in organizational strategic planning.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in sales or commercial, preferably in a senior leadership position.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented individual with a proven track record in sales and leadership.
  • Excellent negotiator with strong networking skills.
  • Strong knowledge of standard procurement practices in large corporations highly desirable.
  • Financial acumen, understanding financial statements and complex financial structures.
  • Familiarity with contact center commercial frameworks highly desirable.
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, synthesizing information and conveying complex ideas in simple terms.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to build financial models in Excel.
  • Ability to navigate large datasets and extract valuable insights.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field preferred.
  • MBA desirable.
