Event Management Opportunity

Our client seeks an experienced professional to manage functions, provide customer service, and ensure operations run smoothly throughout various events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective processes for managing functions and recommend improvements for systems, policies, and practices.
  • Oversee the preparation of project plans, run sheets, programs, invitations, seating charts, and speech notes for civic and corporate functions as required.
  • Coordinate the delivery of various civic and corporate functions, including bookings, equipment, catering, and staff management.
  • Handle enquiries, complaints, RSVPs, and correspondence, taking appropriate action in line with established policies and practices.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders.
  • Adhere to food principles, RSA guidelines, and ensure related licenses are in accordance with requirements.

Requirements:

  • Event management qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience within the events coordinating small to large events and functions.
  • Previous experience in a supervisor/management position.
  • Proven ability to write reports, liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, and run meetings.
  • Proven experience in decision making and problem solving.
  • Proven knowledge of work health and safety requirements.
  • Previous exposure to developing, implementing, and reviewing relevant workplace processes and procedures.
  • Efficient and effective communication skills written and verbal, with exceptional customer service skills.
  • Well-developed organisational, event management, and administrative skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently with limited supervision.
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to operate Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • National police clearance certificate (dated within the last twelve months).
  • RSA - responsible service of alcohol certificate.
  • White card.
