About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team at KBR Government Solutions. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our EHS program, ensuring compliance with government regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement EHS Policies and Procedures

Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures that align with government regulations and industry standards.

Stay Apprised of Legislative Changes

Stay up-to-date with legislative changes in the US and Host Nation that may affect our EHS program and report, document, and implement changes as necessary.

Develop and Maintain Safety Guidance

Develop, maintain, and disseminate general safety guidance to our workforce, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and roles in maintaining a safe working environment.

Develop and Maintain Occupational Health and Safety Programs

Develop, maintain, and implement occupational health and safety programs to identify, monitor, and correct any physical, chemical, or biological hazards in the workplace.

Develop and Maintain EHS Induction and Safety Awareness Training Program

Develop and maintain an EHS induction and safety awareness training program for all employees, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and roles in maintaining a safe working environment.

Prepare Environmental Management Documentation

Prepare and maintain environmental management documentation to ensure compliance with current Host Nation Department of Defense issued Environmental Assessment Report and Heritage Environmental Assessment Report.

Develop and Maintain Site Environmental Procedures

Develop, maintain, and implement all site environmental procedures, plans, and programs, coordinating environmental management activities of all contractors working on site and reporting significant concerns and deficiencies.

Manage Operational Compliance

Manage the operational compliance of EHS responsibilities, ensuring that all employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.

Promote EHS Performance Improvement

Promote EHS performance improvement through regular audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.

Conduct Audits and Incident Investigations

Conduct regular audits and incident investigations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Lead Investigations of Serious Accidents or Incidents

Lead the investigations of serious accidents or incidents having the potential for serious consequences, facilitating root cause analysis and evaluation.

Audit ESH Compliance, Training, and Record Keeping

Audit ESH compliance, training, and record keeping to ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and roles in maintaining a safe working environment.

Coordinate and Supervise EHS Activities

Coordinate and supervise EHS activities on site, ensuring that all employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.

Provide Guidance and Training in EHS Matters

Provide guidance and training in EHS matters to the Environmental Safety Officer, ensuring that they are aware of their responsibilities and roles in maintaining a safe working environment.

Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with an Adjudicated CI Polygraph or Host Nation TS/PV Clearance
  • Minimum of Five Years of Experience Managing Similar Projects
  • Minimum of Two Consecutive Years of Supervisory Experience in Environmental Health and Safety Management
  • Understanding of US and Host Nation Bilateral Agreements Governing EHS
  • Experience Providing High-Quality Customer Service
  • Ability to Maximize Technical, Performance, and Operational Efficiencies and Minimize Lifecycle Costs
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment with Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Familiarity with a 24/7/365 Operational Environment
