Our Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Senior QHSE Professional to join our team in Bayswater, WA. This full-time permanent position involves leading our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment initiatives, driving a safety-focused culture, and contributing to the development of best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to enhance operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards through effective system audits and management.
  • Lead internal and process audits of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Manage and develop a high-performing Quality Operations team.
  • Communicate and consult with employees on quality, health, safety, and environment matters.
  • Coordinate quality, health, and safety documentation, including safety plans, SOPs, risk registers, and training records.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Champion a 'safety-first' culture by promoting best practices and conducting regular training and improvement sessions.
  • Organize Quarterly Safety Committee meetings and follow up on action items.
  • Conduct site inductions for contractors, visitors, and new staff.

Requirements

  • Completion of Cert IV Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality-related position.
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing environments and a focus on process improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders and all levels of the business.
  • Proactive and motivated attitude with a willingness to develop and learn new skills.
  • Computer literacy skills and proficiency with MS Office.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EHS standards, including Federal, State, and Local legislation, codes of practice, and Australian standards.
