Program Director for HR Transformation

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Program Director to lead our HR transformation journey at V/Line. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our HR programs align with our long-term business goals.

In this pivotal role, you will drive the delivery of all aspects of our HR Program, including essential operating model changes, and enabling ICT solutions. Your leadership will ensure that the program achieves its intended benefits and outcomes, guiding our teams through a transition from traditional, manual processes to a streamlined, automated self-service model.

The Program Director will play a key role in driving collaborative relationships and ways of working between business functions and the Business Information Solutions (BIS) unit (IT). This will involve effectively balancing the needs of business stakeholders and IT, bridging the gap between technical and functional expertise, and bringing a holistic systems-thinking approach.

With significant experience designing and leading complex ICT-enabled HR programs across functional project teams in a large and complex enterprise, the successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of contemporary HR technology, including design and implementation experience with HR information systems (HRIS), people analytics, and other tech such as recruitment software, contractor management, and Time and Attendance / Payroll.

A strong change management and influencing skills background is essential, along with substantial knowledge of contemporary HR practices, including HR data governance, data-driven decision-making, and experience designing end-to-end HR business processes that are scalable and create efficiencies within an HR and broader ecosystem landscape.
