HR Director

We are seeking an HR Manager to join our dynamic team at Hooker & Heijden. The successful candidate will be responsible for reinforcing our culture and supporting our amazing people.
As an HR Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the employee experience and driving business outcomes through strategic HR initiatives. You will work closely with our leadership team to implement people and culture strategies that align with our business goals.
Key responsibilities include executing the implementation of people and culture strategies and initiatives, developing and maintaining a culture that supports open and respectful communication, trust, clear expectations, respect, and accountability. You will also guide the leadership team in taking a supportive and consultative approach to leadership and build psychological safety in the workplace.
Apart from this, you will lead initiatives to develop an empowering workplace through effective performance management and feedback, coaching, and support. This includes managing employee performance and salary review processes, as well as additional projects and responsibilities designated by the Director.
You will also be an active participant in industry-related conferences and educational opportunities, grow your industry networks on a professional level, assist with full-cycle recruiting as required, and act as the main contact for People & HR-related matters.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of HR experience in a corporate environment, be degree qualified, and possess excellent communication skills, especially in person. You will also be motivated to stay up to date with the latest legal requirements and industry trends and have proven experience in supporting and implementing sustainable HR systems and processes.
In return for your hard work and dedication, you can expect a competitive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
