About the Role

This position is responsible for assisting the casework team with various aspects of case management to achieve permanency outcomes for children and young people entering Uniting's care.

The successful candidate will be a recognized pathway and development opportunity to a full Caseworker role, requiring a strong advocate for children, young people, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the casework team with case management tasks to achieve permanency outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and their families
  • Collaborate with the casework team to provide holistic support to children and young people
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of case plans and strategies
  • Provide advocacy and support to children and young people in care

Requirements:

  • Diploma (minimum) in Community Services or enrolled and working towards a social service qualification
  • Strong advocate for children, young people, and families
  • Collaborative team player
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Committed to compliance – legal, government, and policy
  • Technology savvy
