Job Summary

KinCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team in Coffs Harbour. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and beautiful living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers' nutritional needs are met.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, as well as assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Offer respite and emotional support, providing a listening ear and a comforting presence.
  • Transport customers to appointments, ensuring they receive the medical attention they need.
  • Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia, requiring specialized support and attention.

Requirements

  • 6 months or more experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, as travel is a part of the role.
  • Ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask for help.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
