About the Role
This position is part of Uniting's Permanency Support Program, which aims to provide a loving home for every child and young person. As a Support Worker, you will assist the casework team with case management to achieve permanency outcomes for children and young people in care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with case management to achieve permanency outcomes for children and young people in care
- Work collaboratively with the casework team to provide support and services to families and young people
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including families, community organizations, and government agencies
- Provide information and support to families and young people to help them navigate the child protection system
- Contribute to the development and implementation of case plans and service delivery strategies
Requirements
- Diploma (minimum) in Community Services or enrolled and working towards a social service qualification
- Strong advocate for children, young people, and families
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
- Committed to compliance with legal, government, and policy requirements
- Technology savvy and flexible
- Committed to continuous improvement and professional development
