About the Opportunity:
Auditing, Risk Management, and Workplace Safety professionals seek an individual with a passion for Work Health and Safety to join the team in this exciting role.
The Work Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for creating a positive work health and safety culture throughout the organisation, focusing on corporate/indoor related areas.
This role requires working across multiple sites across the Local Government Area.
The successful applicant will require:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS or demonstrated extensive industry experience
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to influence and guide others
- Experience in statistical data analysis, review, and improvement of operational processes, as well as reporting information to key stakeholders
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills to plan and organise work, as well as the ability to develop and deliver practical solutions
- Sound knowledge of and the capacity to implement EEO, WHS, ethical work practices, and cultural diversity principles
- Computer literacy proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint
- Class C drivers licence
Position Information:
This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to the organisation's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement.
This role is located at the Merrylands office, and may be required to work across any of the organisation's work locations from time to time.
Flexible working arrangements are available in accordance with the organisation's Working from Home Procedure.
