Detail-Oriented Japanese Speaking Financial Coordinator

We are a dynamic and growing company based in Sydney, committed to delivering high-quality services to our clients. As a motivated and detail-oriented Japanese Speaking Financial Coordinator, you will join our client's finance team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Position Overview:
The Financial Coordinator will assist in various basic accounting tasks and support the finance team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day accounting operations while working closely with other departments to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Manage invoicing, process payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Accurately input financial data into accounting software.
- Communicate with Japanese clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders as needed, translating documents or emails from English to Japanese and vice versa.
- Perform general administrative duties related to accounting functions as required.
- Handle AR/AP tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Fluency in Japanese (both written and spoken) is essential for communication with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- BASIC ACCOUNTING KNOWLEDGE: A foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Ideally, some experience in an accounting or administrative role, but recent graduates are also welcome to apply.
- ATTENTION TO DETAIL: Strong ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in all financial records.
- PROFICIENT IN MICROSOFT OFFICE: Especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and Word.
- TEAM PLAYER: Ability to work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment.
- EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- VISA STATUS: This position is open to candidates who are Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or hold a valid Partner Visa.
