About Vestas ANZ HSE Manager Role

Vestas, the world-leading wind energy solutions provider, is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to oversee the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management of our Australian and New Zealand construction projects. As the successful candidate, you will lead a team of HSE representatives to ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project HSE Management
    • Implement and manage HSE policies, procedures, and plans to ensure the safety of workers at the workplace.
    • Contribute to a positive working environment on the project by being an open and positive go-to person and by being a safety ambassador for the team.
  • Team Management
    • People management of the ANZ HSE team.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Implement APAC construction tactical plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HSE or engineering, or similar curriculum being in compliance with local legal requirements.
  • Minimum of 8 years of management experience preferably on a leadership level.

Competencies

  • Expertise in hazard job site assessment/analysis/solution, risk assessments, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in contractor/subcontractor HSE management.
  • Good communication and proactive collaboration skills.
  • Understanding of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards and how to incorporate requirements into business processes and decision making.
  • Good leadership skills in leading the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, implement, and manage HSE best practices and programs.
  • Customer focus, effective problem-solving capabilities, strong collaborator, and cultural sensitivity skills.
