About the Role

Vestas is seeking an experienced HSE Construction Manager to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for managing all HSE representatives throughout our Australian and New Zealand projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee projects HSE management in ANZ, implementing APAC construction tactical plans.
  • Lead the ANZ HSE team, establishing safety policies, procedures, and plans to ensure worker safety.
  • Contribute to a positive working environment by being an open and positive go-to person and a safety ambassador for the team.
  • Proactively coordinate and collaborate with project management teams to execute, monitor, and continually improve safety in construction projects.
  • Develop and implement emergency plans and safety work management plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in HSE or engineering, or similar curriculum compliant with local legal requirements.
  • Minimum of 8 years of management experience, preferably on a leadership level.
Competencies
  • Expertise in hazard job site assessment/analysis/solution, risk assessments, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in contractor/subcontractor HSE management.
  • Good communication and proactive collaboration skills.
  • Understanding of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards and how to incorporate requirements into business processes and decision-making.
  • Good leadership skills in leading the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, implement, and manage HSE best practices and programs.
  • Customer focus, effective problem-solving capabilities, strong collaborator, and cultural sensitivity skills.
