At Healthscope, we're seeking a highly skilled Theatre Floor Operations Manager to join our team at Sydney Southwest Private Hospital.
About the Role:
We're offering a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a senior nurse with excellent leadership skills to manage our operating rooms. As a Theatre Floor Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing safe and quality care that meets current best practice standards.
You will lead an efficient and safe theatre floor, responding to operational needs while maintaining a calm and supportive attitude. Your responsibilities will include ensuring all theatres are staffed appropriately and cost-effectively, understanding legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilization standards, and establishing and maintaining relationships with staff, doctors, patients, families, and other personnel.
About Our Operating Rooms:
Sydney Southwest Private Hospital has seven state-of-the-art operating rooms where various specialties are performed, including orthopaedics, neurosurgery, hand surgery, plastics, general, gynaecology, bariatric, interventional, thoracics, ENT, and endocrine surgery.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in health-related discipline or management (or working towards)
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration
- Minimum of 4 years management experience
- Minimum of 3 years Human Resources Management experience
- Demonstrated experience in managing budget targets
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
- Experience in a similar position (desired)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
