As Theatre Floor Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing safe and quality care that meets current best practice standards. This includes ensuring all theatres are staffed appropriately and cost-efficiently, as well as supporting and liaising with the Nurse Unit Manager of the Perioperative department and wards.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- To manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the theatre floor, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- To work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure safe and quality patient care, meeting current best practice standards.
- To oversee the staffing of all theatres, ensuring adequate numbers of skilled professionals are available at all times.
- To develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- To provide leadership and guidance to theatre staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
About You:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as Theatre Floor Operations Manager. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in a health-related discipline or management (or working towards).
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a management role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
