Desktop Support Specialist

Datacom is a leading provider of IT professional services in Australia and New Zealand. We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Sydney.
This is a newly created role that involves providing end-user services to our customers. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering tailored maintenance services, hardware and software break/fix support, remote support, software deployment, and relocation services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional technical support in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- Assist new users with IT hardware collection and setup, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
- Ensure new equipment is up-to-date and deployment-ready prior to release to customers.
- Record all customer contacts in our ITSM tool, maintaining accurate records.
- Communicate progress updates to customers, meeting commitments and expectations.
- Utilize tools and processes to deliver services to customers in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Proactively manage and maintain customer infrastructure as directed.
- Initiate and drive service and process improvements, enhancing our services.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Exceptional customer experience skills, with a focus on end-user services.
- The ability to prioritize work to ensure achievement of all service level agreements.
- Sound knowledge of laptops, desktop PCs, printers, media, and audio-visual equipment, BYOD, and mobility.
