Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to join our team at a Local Government Waste Management authority based in the eastern suburbs.

About the Role

This is a full-time, four-month contract position that requires the successful candidate to provide administrative support to the Coordinator Waste Management and other team members.

  • Provide administrative support, including preparation and processing of external correspondence.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accurately record customer service requests through Council's authority system.
  • Update information boards and electronic notice board.
  • Support the administration team with any ad-hoc duties as requested.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous Local Government experience highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in previous administration roles.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the MS office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and analytical ability, including accurate spelling, alpha-numeric data entry, and qualifying data.
  • Exceptional time management, high-level interpersonal skills, and professional discretion.
